Our journey hasn’t stopped there! You’ll find us showcasing our expertise and advocating for representation at industry events like the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists’ Suppliers Day, the Sunscreen Symposium, and speaking engagements at Spelman College, mixers, and more. These moments are more than events—they’re opportunities to celebrate, educate, and inspire the next generation of cosmetic scientists.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to fill the gap in representation and ensure that Black women are seen, heard, and valued at every level of cosmetic science. Through passion, determination, and collaboration, we’re transforming the industry and celebrating the beauty of diversity.

Join us as we continue to reimagine the future of science and beauty—together!

About BWICC

Founded in 2020, our nonprofit was born out of the vision of eight trailblazing Black women in cosmetic science. Amid the challenges of the Covid pandemic, these pioneers came together to create a safe, uplifting space for connection and growth. From Research and Development Scientists to Product Development Gurus, Beauty Brand Entrepreneurs, and Quality Control Experts, our founders represent the many facets of cosmetic science—and they’re driven by one shared mission: to build a strong, supportive community.

We’re all about lifting each other up, offering the resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities that help our members thrive in an ever-evolving industry.

From day one, we’ve kept the conversation going across platforms like Clubhouse, Twitter, and Instagram. Whether breaking down beauty trends, discussing scientific innovations, or championing diversity, we’ve used these spaces to connect, inspire, and amplify the voices of Black women in cosmetic science.
