What is BWICC?

Do I have to be a Black Woman to join?
While our organization is called Black Women in Cosmetic Chemistry (BWICC) and was founded to create a space for Black women in the industry, we welcome all individuals who support our mission. Whether you are a scientist, entrepreneur, student, or industry professional who believes in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in cosmetic chemistry, you are encouraged to join and be part of our community!

Where can I find membership cost?
Membership dues can be found here.

When are membership dues due?
Membership dues are due by January 31st of the current year for existing members. New members can join at any time.

What is 'good standing'?
To remain in good standing, all dues payments for the membership year must be received by March 31st of the prior year.

Can I participate if I am not a member?
While we encourage everyone to become a member, some events are open to non-members for a fee. Check our events page for details.

What is our reinstatement policy?
Reinstatement fees will apply to membership renewals that are received after April 1st of current membership for returning members. Additional information can be found in our BWICC Bylaws.
